"One Place After Another" seeks to capture this perpetual state of being on the road—unfinished and always evolving—while reflecting the artist's movement between memory and daily life, from Shenzhen to Hangzhou, one scene after another. Drawing inspiration from visual experiences, everyday life, and textual readings, he attempts to build a bridge of color between fragmented figuration and abstract contemplation.
The works serve as vessels of memory, yet they are far from simple reproductions. "One place after another," they emerge like fragments of time, layered, covered, and permeated, evoking a sense of familiarity that remains just beyond clear recognition. Using color as his language, he explores the boundary between personal experience and universal emotion.
