JINCHUAN WU: A Jest — solo exhibition by JINCHUAN WU at L Gallery, Hangzhou, 2 Jun – 15 Jun 2026.
The many faces of human existence form a spectacle that is at once magnificent and absurd.
Through painting, I wander among drifting figures and moments of absurdity, concealing within each image my own uncertainty, the emotions of solitude, and the dislocations of reality. The improbable gestures and illusory reflections that appear throughout the work are playful gifts from life itself—its peculiar form of romance and irony. There is no need to search too hard for answers. Simply allow yourself to experience the work with ease. After all, we are all participants in this great joke of being human.
