Joy Before It Fades!
We once remembered—
a name, a face, a familiar house, the days we once shared.
But time is like water, quietly rising over memory before we even notice.
Names drift farther away. Faces begin to blur. Familiar rooms become strange. And in the end, we may even forget where we are.
Some memories do not disappear all at once.
They simply recede, slowly, into the depths of time, like the light at dusk, fading little by little.
And yet, “囍” remains.
It once appeared on doors, on windows, in the liveliest corners of a home. It was also written into the years we spent living together.
It is like a lamp that has never gone out, keeping watch over those who are slowly drifting away, and over the days we do not wish to forget.
As memory grows dimmer, little by little, and slowly recedes like the tide—
as names, faces, and time itself begin to lose the places they once held—
perhaps there is still something we can leave behind.
A photograph.
A name.
Or simply, “囍.”
Before forgetting, look once more.
Perhaps that final glance is the last moment in which we and time recognize one another.
